Sort your Message Center Templates so they appear in the order you wish to view them. Note that the sort order remains in effect only until you close or reload the browser window.
- Click on the “Message Center” tab on the vertical Dashboard menu at the left side of the screen.
- Click on the “Templates” tab.
- The “TEMPLATES” window opens with the “Automated” tab selected, showing the system messages that you can revise and deactivate. To view the “Custom” tab that shows the messages you create yourself, click on the “Custom” tab.
- Click on one of the column names above the list of items, or the pair of arrows to the right of one of the column names, to sort the items by the information in that column. By default, the records sort in ascending order. To change the sort to descending order, click on the pair of arrows again. Each time you click on the arrows, the sort order changes. You can identify the sort order by which of a pair of arrows is dark gray. When the information sorts in ascending order, the arrow pointing up is dark, and vice versa. On unsorted columns, both arrows appear in light gray.
- Sort the listings by any of the following criteria.
Sort Message Center Automated Templates—
- “Name” specifies the name of the message template. Note that this is NOT the same thing as the subject line of the message.
- “Subject” shows the subject that the template applies to any message you create with it, including the coded names of any dynamic fields you have added to the subject line (i.e., the data that replace the dynamic fields are not shown).
- “Type” lists the kind of message that the template is designed to send.
- “Date modified” specifies when someone last edited and saved the template.
Sort Message Center Custom Templates—

- “Actions” provides access to the three-dots menu that enables you to edit or activate/deactivate a template.
